Judging Panel
An international panel of practising designers, creative directors, educators, and cultural commentators. Rotating annually to ensure fresh perspectives.
Approach
How judging works
Blind review
Judges do not see the entrant's name, studio, or country of origin during initial evaluation rounds. Work is assessed purely on its merits.
Rotating panel
The judging panel changes each year. No judge serves more than two consecutive cycles. This prevents institutional bias and keeps evaluation criteria fresh.
Global representation
We actively recruit judges from Southeast Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East — communities underrepresented on most international award juries.
Criteria
What judges evaluate
-
01Conceptual Strength
Is there a clear idea driving the work? Does the concept inform and elevate the execution?
-
02Craft & Execution
Technical skill, attention to detail, and the visible care invested in realising the concept.
-
03Cultural Relevance
Does the work engage meaningfully with its cultural context? Is it aware of the world it exists in?
-
04Innovation
Does the work push boundaries — in process, technology, material, or thinking?
-
05Real-World Impact
Measurable outcomes: audience response, commercial results, social change, or industry influence.
